One salary figure in — your daily, hourly, weekly, annual and overtime rates out.
Almost every figure in Saudi payroll comes from two divisions: the month is treated as thirty days, and the day is treated as your contracted hours. Once you have those two numbers, every other rate follows.
Saudi payroll convention fixes the month at thirty days, so your daily wage is the same in February as in March. The Labor Law uses the same convention when valuing annual leave and end-of-service, which is why this site does too.
Overtime under Article 107 is calculated on the basic wage, not the full package. Two people on the same total salary can have very different overtime rates if one has a large transport allowance and a small basic. It is worth knowing which side of that line you are on.
The daily rate values your unused annual leave and any absence deduction. The hourly rate sets your overtime. The annual figure is what you quote when comparing an offer. They are all the same salary, seen from different angles.
