Planning to travel from Saudi Arabia? Your exit re-entry visa decides the last day you can come back. Get it wrong and you risk a ban.

Validity starts at issue, not travel

The visa clock begins on the issue date printed on the visa — not the day you fly out. If you leave two weeks after it's issued, those two weeks are already gone from your return window.

Your iqama must outlive the visa

You cannot re-enter on a valid visa if your iqama has expired. If the iqama ends before your planned return, renew it first.

If you don't return in time

Failing to return before the visa expires can lead to a re-entry ban of up to three years, unless your employer resolves the situation. Don't cut it close.

Single vs multiple

A single visa allows one trip out and back; a multiple visa allows repeated trips within its validity. Both count validity from the issue date.
